Assisted Lymphatic Therapy

Nature of ALT

Nature of Therapy

Assisted Lymphatic Therapy is a gentle, light-touch, noninvasive technique for stimulating the proper flow and drainage of the lymphatic system.

A combination of vibrational, light, and electrical waves helps to stimulate the flow by dissociating proteins that have become trapped in the interstitial tissues.

When trapped proteins (not to be confused with nutrient proteins) release their bonds, the stagnate lymph is liberated and will flow out into its normal filtration and reabsorption channels.

How is ALT performed

How is ALT Performed?

An XP2 machine is used during therapy. It is an electronic device that uses therapy heads containing noble gases in glass tubes. The gases contained in the transmission heads are Argon and Krypton, which help decongest, and Xenon, which balances hormones. These gases are excited (ionized) by a high voltage field at low current (amperage). The therapy heads emit various fields of energy when touched onto the skin. The ALT electromagnetic pulses can penetrate deeper into the body reaching areas that would normally not be reached without this modality.

Certified Lymphatic Therapists

Can facilitate nature by stimulating the natural peristaltic contractions of the layers of muscles located along the lymphatic pathways also known as lymphangions.

These healing frequencies break up congestion, rebalance the cells, and enhance your immunity -  maximizing cellular repair functions by amplifying the detoxification process within the tissue fed by the lymph.

Detoxification

Stagnating fluids, toxins, and waste will be drained through the flow of lymph.  This type of circulation aids in the healing processes from the deep to the superficial lymphatic system.

Stress

Sessions are non-invasive, painless, relaxing, and revitalizing.

Health Benefits

Since lymphatic organs play an important role in the immune system, the proper flow of lymphatic fluid can positively impact many conditions faced by clients.

During this passage of lymph, the body can generate production of more lymphocytes to reinforce immune response and accelerate contact against antibodies/foreign substances.

Meet Lindsey Barnnett

Lindsey Barnett

Certified Lymphatic Therapist

Lindsey Barnett is a lifelong resident of Carroll County, graduating from McKenzie High School in 1999. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2004 and her Master of Science in Education in 2014, both from the University of Tennessee at Martin.

While she enjoyed working in accounting and public education, her true love has always been health and wellness. In January of 2023, Lindsey was diagnosed with breast cancer and chose a treatment plan geared toward holistic treatments and modalities.

As part of her treatment protocol, she received Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) to strengthen her immunity and protect her body against cancer cells. Lindsey fell in love with this therapy, and decided she wanted to share this method of whole body detox with her friends, family, and community in West Tennessee. In the Fall of 2024, Lindsey became a Certified Lymphatic Therapist and began her practice inside Southern Chiropractic in January of 2025.

Lindsey resides in Huntingdon with her husband and their four children. She enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and attending concerts when she’s not cheering for one of her kids at a football, basketball, or soccer game. Lindsey has enjoyed volunteering her time as a youth coach for Upward Basketball and AYSO, and she was instrumental in establishing the middle school and high school soccer programs in Huntingdon in 2021. Lindsey is a Leadership Carroll County graduate and participated in the Tennessee Legislative Internship Program and the Tennessee Rural STEM Collaborative.
